Telehealth Music Therapy
JIG music therapists can successfully adapt music therapy programs to be delivered online. Live online music therapy sessions (Telehealth) are a great option if you live in a geographically isolated area, are unable to have in-person sessions due to illness or needing to isolate, or even because it allows you to have a session time that suits your schedules best. You might start out with in-person sessions with your therapist and then transition to online if this suits you best, or perhaps you only ever work with your music therapist online.

Telehealth sessions can also provide opportunities for your music therapist to help you adapt the resources you have available to you at home in order to continue working towards your goals between sessions.

In order to maximise the potential of Telehealth music therapy sessions, you will need:
-
Reliable internet
-
A smartphone, tablet or laptop with internet access
-
Suitable space in your home where you can be comfortable, see the screen and not be interrupted by others
-
If you have headphones with a built in microphone this can really help ensure the best sound quality but isn't a requirement

Please contact us if you would like to discuss how Telehealth music therapy sessions might work for you.
